Hülya is a London based photographer and actor.
In this world of staging yourself and your surroundings, it becomes obvious that the real world, with its everyday mundane objects, becomes more interesting and prevalent. It catches her attention while she tries to ignore the charade that expressing yourself has become on so many levels. Hülya looks beyond, her eye just wanders as she tries to seek visual stimulation. Catching an object, a still moment in time, when everyone else around her is dancing and prancing, gives her peace and the knowledge that there is still magic all around us. It’s about seeing that goes much further than just looking. It is stopping the time for just one second, to exhale and to excite yourself. We have so much beauty around us. Maybe it’s a bin in blue standing in front of a big grey wall, maybe it is a colourful building, maybe it is a reflection in a puddle of water. You can walk right through it or you can choose to see it.
